Mtkvari River

Description

The river Mtkvari is the largest river in the Caucasus. It originates in Turkey, on the eastern slope of Kizil-Giyaduk Mountain. Its total length is 1,515 kilometers and flows all the way to the Caspian Sea in Azerbaijan. Only 400 km of the river flows on the territory of Georgia, while the longest part, 906 kilometers, is on the territory of Azerbaijan.
